Biography
     Wenxian Yu was born in Shanghai, China, in 1964. He received the B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees from the National University of Defense Technology, Changsha, China, in 1985, 1988, and 1993, respectively. From 1996 to 2008, he was a Professor with the College of Electronic Science and Engineering, National University of Defense Technology, where he served as the deputy Head of the College and assistant director of the National Key Laboratory of Automatic Target Recognition. Currently, he is with the School of Electronic, Information, and Electrical Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, where he is a Yangtze River Scholar Distinguished Professor and Head of the research part of the school, and he was the executive dean of the School from 2009 to 2011

Selected Publications, Active Grants and Projects
    For the past five years, Prof. Yu organized and participated in more than 30 program, such as the National High-tech R&D Program of China (863 Program), National Defense Model Projects, National Defense Advance Research and so on. He Published more than 130 academic articles (including cooperation), obtained a lot of key technologies and systems development achievements in radar target recognition, data fusion area. He also have a greater impact in the area of radar detection, military electronic information integrated system technology, satellite remote sensing applications.
