   Shouwu Guo was born in 1964. He received the B.S. degree in Chemistry from Yanan University, Shaanxi, China, in 1985, the M.S. degree in physical chemistry form Fujian Institute of Research on Structure of Matter, Chinese Academy of Science, Fujian, China, in 1988, and the Ph.D. degree in materials chemistry from Weizmann Institute of Science, Rehovot, Israel, in 1999.

    Dr. Guo has been a Faculty Member in Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China, since 2006, and is currently a professor. He worked as postdoctoral and research scientist in University of Minnesota and Northwestern University, USA, from 1999 to 2005. His research interests are focused on graphene and low dimensional nanomaterials; applications of graphene and nanomaterials in energy storage devices, biomedicine, catalysts and sensors; and high resolution microscopy. He has published more than 80 peer-reviewed papers, and hold more than 18 patents.
