Biography
Dr. Sun is an associate professor in the state key laboratory of advanced optical communication systems and networks, in Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU). I am also a faculty of the department of Electronic Engineering in the school of Electronic Information and Electric Engineering (SEIEE). Before I joined SJTU in June 2004, he obtained his Bachelor's degree in the Special Class for the Gifted Young (SCGY, 1994-1999) and my Doctoral degree in the department of Electronic Engineering and Information Science (EEIS, 1999-2004), both in the University of Science and Technology and China (USTC) in Hefei.He was a visiting scholar in Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the fall of 2008.


Dr.Sun isactivelyinvolvedintheresearchofhigh-speednetworks,networkcontrolandmanagement,andnetworkapplications. Hehasabout60publicationsinpeerreviewedjournalsand conferences. He led the standardization of Generalized MPLS performancemeasurementinIETF andis the author of RFC 5814 and RFC 6777.Hehasservedasaninvitedspeakeroninternationalconferences includingAOE2005(Shanghai,China),COIN2006/2009(Jeju,Korea),ANTS2007(Bombay,India), ACP2009/2010(Shanghai,China), ICTON 2012 (Coventry, UK) and ICP 2012 (Penang, Malaysia).HeismemberofTechnicalProgramCommitteeofCOINand PGC,andis organizer of theSino-KoreaWorkshoponIPTVandNGN(2007-2010)
