Wei Guo received her B.S., M.S. degree in computer science in 1985 and 1990, and Ph.D. degree in information engineering in 1997, all from Wuhan University, Wuhan, China. She is a full professor of state key lab of advanced optical communication system and network in Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Dr, Guo was previously a project manager at the Fiberhome Telecommunication Technologies CO., LTD and an associate professor at Wuhan University. She was a visiting scholar in Hong Kong Polytechnic University,? Essex Univ. and? UC Davis.

Dr. Guo has published more than 100 academic papers in technical journals and international conferences. She is the author of "Spatial Data Index", Shanghai Jiao Tong University 2006. Currently, Dr. Guo hosts a number of research projects supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), High-Technology Research and Development Program of China (863 Program) and the national basic research program of China ( 973 Program).
