   SJTU hosting flagship conference ICCC 2014 in Shanghai

 

With the gentle breeze of the early autumn, hundreds of global experts gathered in the beautiful Radisson Plaza Xing Guo Hotel of Shanghai to participate in 3rd International Conference on Communications in China (IEEE/CIC ICCC 2014). The conference is hosted by Shanghai Jiao Tong University and sponsored jointly by the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (IEEE) and the China Institute on Communications (CIC)

 

Under the theme of “Computing Communications towards Networked Societies”, IEEE/CIC ICCC 2014 brings together worldwide brilliant researchers to discuss the latest advances in communications. Prof. Hui Liu, the general chair of ICCC2014, started the technical program on Oct. 14. The three-day conference was highlighted by keynotes from world renowned scholars such as Professor David Tse from Stanford University Professor James Won-Ki Hong, formally CTO from Korea Telecom, Professor H. Vincent Poor from Princeton University, and Professor Ping Zhang from BUPT, 8 technical symposia, 5 tutorials, as well as 4 industrial and academic panels.

 

The eventful conference covers a wide spectrum of subjects in communications, from Selected Topics in Communication (STC), to Communication and Control Theory (CCT), Optical Communication Systems and Networks (OCSN), Privacy and Security in Communications (PSC), Social Networks and Big Data (SNBD), Signal Processing for Communications (SPC), Wireless Communications Systems (WCS) and Wireless Networking and Multimedia (WNM). The conference closed strongly with 4 best paper awards and a pleasant dinner tour on the HuangPu river.
