IWCT was founded at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2001 under the support of “ 211” and “ 985” projects of the university. IWCT dedicates in developing, analyzing and implementing communication algorithms for various digital mobile communications, digital broadcasting systems and broadband wireless access technology. Currently, the main interests of IWCT include module-level and system-level simulation and implementation of 3G/B 3G system, broadband multimedia wireless broadcasting technology, and high-speed wireless data access and switching design of IEEE 802.11a/Bluetooth/Ethernet/WiMax.
IWCT also keeps a good relationship with its industrial partners in developing and implementing advanced digital t ansmission techniques and access techniques. IWCT has developed and implemented efficient LDPC and TPC coder/decoder chips, ADTB-T broadband broadcasting systems, FHSS system and IEEE 802.11a baseband demo system.
