工程实践与科技创新IIIA(卓工)

Engineering Practice and Technology Innovation is a series of laboratory courses including four stages, which are designed to help undergraduates obtain engineering research and development experiences by intensive laboratory training. The course guides the students to improve their measurement skills, design abilities and to build capacity for high performance teamwork in solving practical engineering problems.

Engineering Practice and Technology Innovation Part IIIA for OEEPisone of the third stage course modules, which is specially designed for the National Outstanding Engineer Education Program. It is jointly sponsored by the co-operative enterprises. The industrial enterprises propose practical engineering subjects with medium difficulty, which would include but not be limited to some real-world problems in engineering fields of electronic communication, information security and computer science, and may involve technologies of electronic circuit, embedded and mobile system application, big data analytics, network security, informatization, internet of things, etc.

Some fundamental knowledge of electronic circuits design and program design as well as basic experimental skills is supposed to be the prerequisite.

The students are required to implement their projects among a three-member group. Grading for engineering prototypes makes up approximately 65% of final grade for each group, while those for participation in ordinary activities and design reports make up10% and 25% respectively. Furthermore the group leaders are required to evaluate each member’s contribution, which will be a significant hint of final grade for each student.
